Patter Fam Sauces

Praline Bread Pudding
¼ cup clarified butter
1 large loaf of French bread cubed into 1” pieces
2 cups half and half
2 cups milk
3 eggs lightly beaten
4 tsp. vanilla
1 ½ tsp. cinnamon
½ cup raisins
3 cups of dissolved pralines
(2 additional cups of dissolved pralines for topping)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Coat a 13x9 baking dish with ¼ cup clarified butter.

Warm 3 cups of pralines in a saucepan until sugar has dissolved and the mixture is liquid again.

Pour half and half and milk over bread in a large mixing bowl; let soak for 10 minutes before gently stirring.  Stir in eggs until completely incorporated.  One ingredient at a time, add 4 teaspoons of vanilla, 1 ½ teaspoons of cinnamon, ½ cup raisins, 3 cups of dissolved pralines being sure to stir each into the mix before doing the next one.  Spoon the mixture into the baking dish.

Bake for about 50 minutes until the mixture is firm and pudding like.

Dissolve 2 more cups of pralines and pour over the pudding to top.

Serve the bread pudding with a praline on the side
